The news on Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin isn't good, even if it isn't entirely clear.
NFL Network's Albert Breer and FOX Sports 1's Mike Garafolo both reported Monday morning that Martin, who suffered a torn labrum in the Bucs' 31-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, will be done for the season.
Source tells @FOXSports1 Buccaneers RB Doug Martin suffered what's believed to be a torn labrum in his shoulder. Season possibly over.

However, others are reporting that the injury might not be season-ending.
RB Doug Martin has a torn labrum in his left shoulder but the Bucs will not place him on IR right away. They're hopeful he can return.

Either way, the Buccaneers have a game Thursday against the Carolina Panthers, and Mike James — who took over for Martin and was his primary backup — almost certainly will be the starter going forward.
The news keeps getting worse in Tampa, and just when you didn't think it was possible.
