Something provoked Cleveland Browns nose tackle Phil Taylor to smack Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice this past Sunday.
There is a belief Taylor’s response may have been because Rice spat on him.
Both men engaged in a war of words during Baltimore’s 14-6 victory this past Sunday. As they talk-trash, Rice did or said something that provoked a slap. When asked if Rice spat on him, Taylor would not say after the game.
“Look at the film, you will see . . . I’m not going to say,” Taylor told Cleveland.com. “It is what it is. I need to keep my composure.”
However, Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson insinuated the incident is something similar to Keith Hernandez spitting on Kramer and Newman in Seinfield.
“I heard a guy scream he got spit on,” Jackson told Cleveland.com “If guys are spitting, that’s immature. That’s elementary. We’re all grown men. There’s no need to spit on a guy. I don’t know if it was Ray, but apparently someone got spit on.”
It is hard to tell what occurred from the video, but check it out to draw your own conclusion – or look for the second spitter.
