Darren Sproles, Nate Allen headline Eagles, Saints inactives

Shutdown Corner

The New Orleans Saints will be without running back Darren Sproles for Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles after the team's leader in combined yards this season underwent hand surgery last week. The Saints are deep at the running back position and will dress both Chris Ivory and Travaris Cadet tonight.

For the Eagles, right guard Danny Watkins will miss a second consecutive game with an ankle injury. The 2011 first-round pick out of Baylor will be replaced in the starting lineup by Dennis Kelly, a situation that could continue even after Watkins is healthy enough to play. The Eagles will not have safety Nate Allen, who injured his hamstring during last Friday's practice and was listed as "questionable" on the team's final injury report. First-year safety David Sims will make his 1st NFL start for Allen. Defensive end Darryl Tapp is inactive tonight as his wife is expecting their first child.

Here are the full list of inactive lists for Monday night's Eagles-Saints game:

Philadelphia: QB Trent Edwards, WR Mardy Gilyard, OT Nate Menkin, G Danny Watkins, DE Vinny Curry, DE Darryl Tapp, S Nate Allen
