Even when something positive happens with the Buccaneers this season, it turns sour.
Mike James had been a nice revelation for the Buccaneers at running back after Doug Martin's season ending shoulder injury. James had a 158-yard game against a very tough Seahawks defense in Tampa Bay's last game. He was averaging 4.6 yards per carry coming into Monday night's game against the Dolphins. It was a rare good story for the team this season.
And because the 2013 Buccaneers seem to be cursed, James was carted off the field on the first drive against Miami.
James was tackled at the 1-yard line in the opening minutes, and suffered what the team says is an ankle injury. He was in obvious pain and usually players aren't carted off unless it's a bad injury.
Brian Leonard is next in line at tailback for the Buccaneers with Martin done and James out, so fantasy players might want to get their waiver claims ready.
