Western Kentucky strength coaches beat each other with paddles to motivate the team (Video)

If you missed Tuesday's Sun Belt tilt between Western Kentucky and Louisiana-Lafayette, then you probably missed this very special moment with the Western Kentucky strength coaches as they attempted to get the Hilltoppers fired up before the game.

That's Scott Wilks taking a paddle -- well, three, actually -- to the back of fellow strength coach Joe Miday. Miday tries to take the beating like a man, but the look on his face clearly shows that it burns like the fire of hell.

After Miday exits, Wilks then takes another board and breaks it against his forehead before being enveloped by a celebrating group of Hilltoppers.

It's, well, about as football as it gets right there.

Sadly, Wilks and Miday's efforts will all be for naught. After taking an early lead, Louisiana-Lafayette came back to beat WKU 37-20.

This isn't the first time Wilks and Miday have beaten each other for the delight of the team.

They did it before the Sept. 28 game against Navy:

And before Marshall games when they were the strength coaches there:

And this one included fire:

In those Marshall days, it was just one paddle. Apparently, the duo has stepped up its game. Also, those Marshall paddles broke. I bet it hurts worse when they don't.

Yep, we could watch this all day.
