West Virginia fans coordinate to “Stripe the Stadium” for Big 12 debut

Dr. Saturday

You always want to impress the new guests, and we'll take what West Virginia did for its Big 12 debut over a corny video or bad T-shirts.

This summer West Virginia launched its plan to "Stripe the Stadium," for today's Big 12 debut against Baylor at Milan Puskar Stadium, with the sections alternating between blue and gold, based on what color fans were informed to wear for the game. The fans pulled it off very well. Good job, Mountaineers. It makes for a great visual backdrop.

Not only will we take this over pandering pleas to new conference members, the look is much more creative than the typical white-out or black-out. The atmosphere for West Virginia's game against Baylor - which saw the over/under creep up to 85 before kickoff - seems incredible today.
