Since Pete Lembo arrived at Ball State in 2011, he has made it a point to upgrade his team’s on-campus facilities. On Thursday, some of those upgrades came to fruition.
Lembo’s squad got its first look at the brand new locker room inside the Fisher Football Complex at Scheumann Stadium. Predictably, the team went nuts.
It's hard to blame the guys for reacting that way -- the place looks great.

Additional upgrades are on the way for the Cardinals too. A new football complex, the Ronald E. and Joan M. Venderly Football Team Complex, is set to be built alongside the Fisher Complex. Per a Ball State release, the new complex will provide team meeting space and will have officers for the coaching and training staff. These new offices will allow for the “repurposing” of the Fisher complex “to better serve the student-athletes.”
The Cardinals have gradually improved under Lembo, winning 10 games last season and finishing second in the MAC’s western division. BSU will kick off the 2014 at home against Colgate on August 30.
