For as much success as Oregon’s football program has had in the last decade with the program’ rise into the national landscape, the Ducks have become just as well-known for their never-ending supply of flashy uniforms.
There have been so many different combinations of colors for the team’s helmets, pants, socks and shoes provided by Nike, whose CEO Phil Knight is an Oregon grad. Throughout the tenures of Mike Bellotti and Chip Kelly, the uniforms were a major selling point for recruits, and that continues today under Mark Helfrich.
The behind-the-scenes guys who make the players look good don’t get normally get much attention, but the Oregon video crew gave us an all-access look into the daily happenings for the Oregon Equipment department.
