New Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason is making his debut at the SEC spring meetings in Destin, Fla. this week and has been impressing media members for an unusual reason: his business card.

Business cards are usually pretty simple, but Mason’s card is a gold and flashy with the Vanderbilt star V and also features the team’s “anchor down” slogan.

Mason is doing his best to make an impression as he tries to keep up the momentum for the Commodores’ program. Flashy cards like this could definitely stick in the mind of a potential recruit.

Former Vandy coach James Franklin, who is now at Penn State, had similar business cards when he was with the school. Franklin’s were black and vertical.

Mason’s version is definitely an upgrade.
