USC lands two five-star recruits, jumps Alabama for top spot in class rankings
Two five-star high school teammates will play together in college.

Outside linebacker John Houston and defensive end Rasheem Green of Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Calif., announced Wednesday that they are headed to play for Steve Sarkisian at USC.
The 6-foot-3, 208-pound Houston, the second-best outside linebacker and No. 30 overall recruit in the nation, also considered Arizona State, Miami (FL), Oklahoma and Oregon, but opted to join a loaded group of linebackers in the Trojans’ 2015 class. In addition to Houston, USC is also bringing in five-star Porter Gustin and four-stars Osa Masina and Cameron Smith at linebacker.

Rivals ranks the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Green as the 33rd-best player in the nation and the fourth-best strongside defensive end. He chose the Trojans over fellow finalists Miami (FL) and Arizona State. He is the fourth defensive lineman to choose USC in this class alongside four-star defensive tackles Noah Jefferson and Jacob Daniel and three-star defensive end Christian Rector.
With the addition of Houston and Green, USC currently sits atop of Rivals’ team rankings, leapfrogging Alabama.

We’ll see if it holds up.
