Tulane QB Tanner Lee opts to transfer after coaching change

Tulane starting quarterback Tanner Lee has been granted a release from the program.

New Tulane football coach Willie Fritz will bring his option-style from Georgia Southern and that doesn’t fit Lee’s skillset.

Lee has been Tulane’s starter for the past two seasons. He started nine games in 2015 and completed 51.8 percent of his passes for 1,639 yards and 11 touchdowns with seven interceptions.
