Texas quarterback David Ash will not travel with the team for its game at Iowa State Thursday night.
Ash missed Texas' loss to Ole Miss after suffering a concussion against BYU and returned to practice in time before the Kansas State game but left that game and didn't return.

Ash's absence means that Case McCoy will start for the Longhorns. Ash was 14-25 for 166 yards and a touchdown against Kansas State, and after replacing him, McCoy was 5-9 for 66 yards. He also started in Ash's place against Ole Miss.
Davis has 20 catches for 223 yards and four touchdowns.
