Texas will honor former Texas quarterback James Street on Saturday with decals on the back of player’s helmets.
Street, a wishbone quarterback who led the Longhorns to the 1969 national championship, passed away Monday. He was 65.

Street is the father of Huston Street, who played baseball at Texas and is now the closer for the San Diego Padres.
Street led Texas to 20 consecutive victories, including the "Game of the Century" against Arkansas in 1969, which was a come-from-behind 15-14 win by the No. 1 Longhorns over the No. 2 Razorbacks.
The Longhorns went on to beat Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl, finish 11-0 and finish first in the Associated Press poll to win the national title.
Tweeted coach Mack Brown: "Very sad day as we lost college FB great, good friend & wonderful man w/passing of James Street. Our thoughts & prayers are w/Janie & family"
