Welcome to our Dr. Saturday feature titled "Random offseason tweet of the day." With real games still months away, coaches and players will be tweeting about non-football-related things as the season approaches. In this space, we'll try to find the funniest and goofiest tweets of the day. If you see something, don't hesitate to send it to us.

While most students go home for the summer, college football players stay on campus to take classes and prepare for the upcoming season.

Alabama running back Kenyan Drake and tight end O.J. Howard were in their geography class on Tuesday when the discussion centered on Death Valley, the national park in California and Nevada known for its brutally hot temperatures.

Death Valley is also the nickname for Tiger Stadium at LSU, one of Alabama’s biggest rivals, so when it was brought up, Howard apparently was a little confused.

With the season inching closer, I can’t blame Howard for having football on the brain. Howard, a Rivals.com five-star recruit who was the top-ranked tight end in the 2013 class, showed glimpses of what could be a big career with the Crimson Tide last season.

He hauled in 14 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns, including this 52-yard catch and run against the Tigers.

Howard will get his first taste of Death Valley on Nov. 8.
