If you look at the past stops of Super Bowl head coaches Pete Carroll and John Fox, there is one place in common: Iowa State.
Both coaches spent a year in Ames as defensive assistants. Carroll was the Cyclones’ secondary coordinator in 1978 and Fox was the defensive backs coach in 1984.
After the conclusion of both conference games Sunday night, Iowa State football tweeted a picture of the two coaches during their stint with Iowa State.

Fox’s hair is pretty awesome and Carroll looks sharp in a suit, but we’re more accustomed to Carroll's gray head of hair. That was a smart idea by the Iowa State social media people to dig up those photos as that tweet is nearing 1,000 retweets.
