Northwestern releases funny promo on the heels of Gameday appearance

To celebrate Northwestern hosting ESPN's College Football Gameday for the first time since 1995, the school released a promo video that is as funny and clever as anything we’ve seen all year.

It starts with Doug Meffley, the school’s director of digital and social communication, dressing like Paul Revere, holding a lantern with a purple bulb and riding a Segway around campus yelling, “Gameday is coming!”

Then it features players talking about their favorite Gameday host and coach Pat Fitzgerald critiquing Gameday signs.

Well played, Northwestern. Well played.

Hopefully, the Wildcats aren’t so distracted by the nation’s most popular college football pregame show that they forget to show up against Ohio State.
