Late in the first quarter on the road against Michigan State, Nebraska was trailing 7-0 and working its way down the field in an effort to tie the score.
On a third-and-8 play from the MSU 43-yard line, the stingy Spartans defense was showing a blitz pre-snap and it clearly affected Nebraska left guard Jake Cotton, who flinched and then hilariously fell on his backside.

Obviously, Cotton was flagged for a false start and the Huskers punted two plays later.
Cotton’s penalty was fairly indicative of Nebraska’s rough first half. The Huskers trailed 17-0 at halftime and eventually fell 27-22 to the No. 10 Spartans.
