After teasing the presentation of new uniforms throughout the week, Mississippi State finally unveiled its new alternate adidas uniforms that will be worn to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Scott Field on Aug. 30 in the season opener against Southern Miss.

The uniforms were first showcased on Twitter, then the rest of the photo set was posted on the Mississippi State football Facebook page.

They aren’t very different from the normal Mississippi State uniforms and look similar to many of the other adidas reveals we’ve seen over the past few years. The main discernable difference is the “HAIL STATE” on the front and “BULLDOGS” where a player’s last name ordinarily is.

Prior to the NCAA basketball tournament, Baylor was banned from wearing its adidas uniforms with “Sic’Em Bears” on the front. Bill Martin, MSU’s assistant athletic director for media relations tweeted that the Bulldogs can have Hail State on the front because it is a trademarked phrase.

The Bulldogs ended the 2013 campaign on a high note by winning three straight games including an overtime victory over rival Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl and a 44-7 Liberty Bowl triumph over Rice.
