Maty Mauk leads Missouri to its second touchdown (Loop)

Missouri might want to consider sticking with backup quarterback Maty Mauk for the rest of the game.

Backup Maty Mauk came in in the second quarter and led the Tigers on a on their second scoring drive that culminated in a drop-in-the-bucket touchdown to Marcus Lucas to give the Tigers a 14-7 lead.

Mauk was 2-for-2 for 35 yards and the score and 73 rushing yards.

And he was only in for a series.

At the time of Mauk’s touchdown pass, Franklin had completed just four of his 16 passes.

However, coach Gary Pinkel wasn’t quick to give up on his starter. Franklin was back in the game for the Tigers’ next series and Mizzou had to punt.
