Remember the Heisman debate we had just a short while back between Marcus Mariota and Johnny Manziel? Well, one of those players is a clear favorite for the Heisman Trophy. And it's not Manziel, the player I sided with.
According to the Bovada sportsbook, Mariota is currently a 1/1 favorite for the Heisman Trophy. Second is Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, who has 11/10 odds of being a second consecutive redshirt freshman to win.
Texas A&M's Manziel is third, but he's a long way back at 9/1, likely due to the Auburn loss the day after we debated between the two. The only other two players on the board are Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron at 12/1 and Baylor's Bryce Petty at 20/1.
Bovada also released their current BCS National Championship odds, and it's no surprise that Alabama is an 8/5 favorite. Florida State and Oregon are tied behind the Crimson Tide at 9/4, and Ohio State is next at 9/1. If you're looking for a crazy sleeper bet, you could go with Miami, currently at 33/1, but that would also mean you like the Hurricanes to win straight up in Tallahassee on Saturday, where they're underdogs by more than 20 points.
