Kyle Allen’s decision to commit to Texas A&M might have made A&M faithful pretty ecstatic, but it left one recruit a little sad.
Allen is one of the top-rated quarterbacking recruits in the country and his decision to play for the Aggies came as a bit of a shock to most of the country, including fellow quarterbacking recruit Brandon Harris.
Harris, a four-star dual-threat from Bossier City, La., also was on the Aggies' radar, but when Allen’s commitment became public, Harris posted a heartfelt letter to Twitter saying he was crossing A&M off his list.
Thank you Texas A&M fans and coachesyou were great!! twitter.com/bharrisqb1/sta…

It’s not often you see a player give a public thanks to coaches and fans, especially a player of Harris’ stature. According to Rivals.com, Harris has offers from some of the nation’s top football schools, including reigning national champion Alabama and last year’s only undefeated team Ohio State.
So not only does it show that Harris had genuine interest in the Aggies, it also speaks to his character for bowing out gracefully.
I’m sure the other schools on his recruiting last are happy he’s moving on from Texas A&M as well.
