Lane Kiffin to appear on ESPN’s College Gameday Saturday

Dr. Saturday

We're going to have our first public Lane Kiffin sighting Saturday since his firing from USC.

Or, OK, the first one that doesn't involve Matt Leinart.

The former USC coach will appear on ESPN's 'College Gameday,' which originates this week from Seattle, where Washington hosts Oregon.

Kiffin was fired from USC after its loss to Arizona State on September 28. Kiffin traveled back to Los Angeles with the team and was removed from his duties as head coach once the team was on the ground. Since then he's been laying low and texted an LA sportswriter that he wasn't talking. Well, until Saturday, anyway.

Fowler is one of the best in the business, so here's hoping that he won't shy away from asking Kiffin about the circumstances of his firing, why things went so sour at USC, and if he's learned anything from the debacle. Plus, most importantly, if he'll ever be able to mend fences with Snoop.

Kiffin will presumably be asked about the matchup between the Huskies and Ducks. USC beat Washington last season but lost to Oregon 62-51. Current Washington coach Steve Sarkisian was an assistant at USC before going to Washington and replaced Kiffin as the team's offensive coordinator when Kiffin became the coach of the Oakland Raiders.

The Trojans play their first post-Kiffin game Thursday night against Arizona.
