James Franklin visited the student section at the Penn State hockey game and posed for a lot of selfies (Photos)

Ever since becoming a head coach in 2011, James Franklin has been known for his energy and his outgoing personality. That is quickly becoming well-known at Penn State in the days after Franklin was introduced on Saturday.

Franklin was in attendance at last night’s Penn State hockey game as the Nittany Lions hosted top-ranked Minnesota. It was a white out at the new Pegula Ice Arena, and Franklin made his way into the student section. The Penn State students were excited about being in the presence of the new football coach and many of them opportunistically whipped out their cell phones to take some selfies with Franklin.

Onward State compiled a list of the best Franklin selfies to make their way onto the interwebs. I won’t post all 14 that they included, but here are my top three (with a bonus fourth):

I love the enthusiasm here.

This guy seems kind of perplexed, but I dig it.

James Franklin and Thor: a match made in heaven.

And a bonus with Franklin's predecessor:

Well done, Coach.
