Georgia five-star signee Sony Michel releases 'UGA Anthem' rap

Sony Michel (2014 - Plantation, Florida)

Georgia signee Sony Michel is a five-star running back and the No. 13 overall prospect in the country according to, so you know he has talent on the gridiron. What you may not have known is that Michel also has some music skills as a rapper.

Michel, a Plantation, Fla. native who goes by the rap name 2Stackz, released a “UGA Anthem” on Wednesday on his Soundcloud page.

The rhymes are fairly generic (Quarterback, yeah we throwin’ deep / 90K in the stands, fillin’ up the seats), but the production works well and it’s definitely catchy. It’s a pretty good effort, especially from a high school senior.

I especially like the line about head coach Mark Richt being a “boss.”

Although the Bulldogs’ backfield is already crowded with Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall, Michel has the chance to see some early playing time along with fellow UGA running back signee (and ridiculous leaper) Nick Chubb. Chubb is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals and the No. 35 overall prospect in the class of 2014.
