Devin Smith’s one-handed TD catch starts the Urban Meyer Era off in grand fashion

It took a little while for the Urban Meyer Era to get rolling in Columbus, Ohio, but receiver Devin Smith made sure it got off on the right foot.

The Buckeyes' first touchdown of the 2012 season was a high-flying, one-handed grab in the right end of the end zone by Smith. Mad hops, concentration and a sick catch — not a bad way to start a new era at Ohio State even if there is no postseason at the end of it.

And the touchdown snapped the Buckeyes out of a funk that saw them trail Miami-Ohio 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. As the first half winds down, the Buckeyes are up by 18 points.
