Dallas Stars hockey team takes a jab at Manti Te’o
The story of Manti Te’o’s fake girlfriend appears to be the joke that keeps on giving.
During the Dallas Stars’ season opener against the Phoenix Coyotes, Ed Cahill, the multimedia producer for the team, decided to get a little creative during a break in the action by welcoming Manti Te’o's girlfriend to the game.
Of course, camera’s panned to an empty seat.
I’m sure the crowd got a hearty laugh during what ended up being a 4-3 Dallas win.
This isn’t the first professional team to have a little fun at Te’o’s expense. A minor league baseball team has already announced Manti Te’o Girlfriend Bobblehead Night, where the team gives the first 1,000 fans empty boxes.
Te’o has officially become a household name, though probably not in the way he wanted.
