Just ten months after being dismissed from the Alabama football team, defensive lineman D.J. Pettway says he will return to Tuscaloosa.
Pettway was dismissed in February after being arrested for second degree robbery, but after a season at East Mississippi Community College, he has apparently re-signed with the Crimson Tide.
Pettway tweeted about the news. His community college confirmed it.

Pettway, along with teammates Eddie Williams and Tyler Hayes, was dismissed from the team after being accused of physically attacking another student.
Pettway was named Junior College All-American in his lone season at East Mississippi. He registered 47 tackles and 11.5 sacks. He redshirted his first year at Alabama in 2011, and as a redshirt freshman in 2012 Pettway played in 12 games, registering seven tackles and three tackles for loss. He picked up a sack in the Crimson Tide’s National Championship victory over Notre Dame.
Pettway was a four-star recruit out of Pensacola, Florida and was the No. 145 overall recruit in the class of 2011 according to Rivals.com.
