Championship Live Blog: Once more, with feeling

Dr. Saturday

The speculation is over. The complaining is over. After tonight, the season is over. For the next three hours, Alabama and LSU are here to put on a show — yes, a taut, relentless defensive show if necessary. If they do that, nothing anyone has written, tweeted, podcasted or put on a clever sign over the last month will matter. Deal with it, and enjoy the game.

What: BCS championship live blog, running throughout tonight's title game between Alabama and LSU. All colors and comments welcome, though preference is always given to snark.
When: Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN; blog will kick roughly simultaneously.
Who: You and all your rowdy friends.
How: Hit "Watch Now," enter comments into the available box and do your part to accelerate the slow, agonizing death of conventional journalism.
Why: Like it or not, it's the national championship, and the last real college football game of the season. Make it count.
