In the future when we look back at the 2013 college football season, Auburn defensive back Chris Davis’ last-second 109-yard field goal return for touchdown against Alabama in the Iron Bowl will be the most memorable play from an eventful season.
Not only did it send Auburn’s biggest rival home with a devastating loss, Davis’ improbable return propelled the Tigers into the SEC Championship and an eventual National Championship appearance.
By painting the field with the route he took to the end zone, Davis’ play will be memorialized this weekend for the program’s sixth annual “Big Cat Weekend,” where a number of top recruits will be in attendance.
According to Al.com, “25 to 30” of the Tigers’ top targets will be in attendance where they’ll get to replicate one of the top college football plays in recent memory.
