Alabama strength coach placed on leave for providing money to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

According to, an Alabama strength and conditioning coach has been placed on administrative leave for providing impermissible benefits to Tide defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Corey Harris made a short-term loan of less than $500 earlier this summer. Alabama compliance learned that Harris has a connection to a representative of a sports agent. The loan is considered an impermissable benefit and a violation of NCAA Bylaw, which states "an institutional employee or representative of the institution's athletics interests may not provide a student-athlete with extra benefits or services, including, but not limited to ... a loan of money."

Clinton-Dix was indefinitely suspended Wednesday after a violation of team rules. No further details were provided at the time. However, reported thatClinton-Dix provided Alabama’s compliance department with evidence of a withdrawal he made to repay Harris’ loan.
