After spring break video tirade, Ole Miss coach unhappy with suspended LB Denzel Nkemdiche

Ole Miss LB Denzel Nkemdiche's tumultuous spring hasn't stopped.

After he was arrested and charged in February with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a police officer after he was out for his 21st birthday, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze suspended him for the spring and the 2014 season-opener against Boise State.

Now, after a video of Nkemdiche on spring break surfaced, Freeze isn't happy with his linebacker again. In the video, which is no longer available or in serious hiding, Nkemdiche is seen directing a tirade towards what appear to be fans of another team on a beach. Freeze has seen the video.

“I’m not happy with it. Not proud of it. Hope he’s not,” Freeze said (via the Clarion-Ledger). “It’s definitely not what we want to be about, and the way you want to handle it regardless of what initiated it or caused it. There’s a way to handle adversity and controversy, and it’s certainly not that. That’s been made very clear to him. I felt comfortable with what we’re doing with the process of him regaining his rightful place on this team. Obviously that’s not a step in the right direction.”

A few days after his February arrest, Nkemdiche and his brother Robert were sued for "battery, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress" after a fight at the Kappa Alpha house at Ole Miss in February, 2013. The suit is seeking $2 million.

Freeze also said he'd weigh the video when thinking about Nkemdiche's status with the team.

“The process may be longer now. I’m not going to be put in a box on it. He’ll have to change some of his ways to get back right with us,” Freeze said (via the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal).

In 10 games last season, Denzel Nkemdiche had 35 total tackles.
