Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray loves his Twitter.
Murray tweeted out a photo of a pink Georgia helmet claiming it was what the Bulldogs were going to wear for the "Pink-Out" game next year for breast cancer awareness.
Even equipment manager Kevin Purvis got in on the joke by tweeting the team was "Waiting for @usnikefootball to send the jerseys and cleats."
Of course, the Georgia fan base freaked out. Murray's photo was retweeted, it hit message boards and sparked quite the debate. While Murray probably wanted to create this type of chaos, he probably didn't expect it to get so crazy. So he sent out another tweet exposing the hoax.
"The pink helmet is not real for all those panicking and calling in about it," Murray tweeted.
I don't know, with all the crazy uniform combinations these days, would it have been that big of a shock to see a team wear pink helmets?
