Wyoming will have difficult time recovering from injury to Larry Nance Jr.

Wyoming suffered a potentially season-changing loss Wednesday when it learned Larry Nance Jr. will miss the rest of the season with a torn right ACL.

Nance, the son of former NBA All-Star Larry Nance, was injured in a 72-66 win over Fresno State on Tuesday.

The Cowboys have won three straight, including handing San Diego State its only conference loss of the season, and still have a legitimate chance of getting to 20 wins. They are 17-9 overall and 8-5 in fourth place in the Mountain West Conference. But without Nance it seems unlikely Wyoming will do much in the postseason when the competition improves.

Nance is the Cowboys' leading scorer (15.4) and rebounder (8.6), and this is a team that is already among the worst rebounding teams in the nation, ranked 345th.
