Video: Sam Dekker quizzes his teammates about Canada prior to Wisconsin’s preseason trip

Before Wisconsin began its five-game exhibition tour of Canada last week, forward Sam Dekker wanted to make sure his teammates were sufficiently knowledgeable about the U.S.'s neighbor to the north.

Dekker quizzed the rest of the Badgers on everything Canadian, from basketball, to geography, to celebrities.

Wisconsin students and alumni should be proud of how well the Badgers answered the trivia questions with one notable exception. Memo to freshman Riley Dearring: Canadian is not a language.

The exhibition tour itself has proven a bit more challenging than the quiz so far. Canadian power Carleton blitzed the normally defensive-minded Badgers for 95 points in a loss to open the trip, but Wisconsin has rebounded to win its next three games entering the trip finale on Monday night.

Though Josh Gasser's health coming off an ACL tear and Frank Kaminski's development as a low-post threat have both been encouraging signs for Wisconsin, its the success of Dekker that will garner the most headlines. The promising sophomore forward has scored 18 or more points in three of four games, a stretch that includes a 28-point outburst in the first game of the trip and a near-triple double in the second.
