Sometimes dancing hurts: Cal’s Allen Crabbe pays a painful price during win over UNLV

Anyone who says basketball players don't pay a physical price for playing the game they love hasn't taken a basketball to the, um, "midsection" the way Cal star Allen Crabbe did in the first half of Thursday's 64-61 win over UNLV.

As you can see in the GIF above, Rebels guard Bryce Dejean-Jones whipped the ball at Crabbe as he was falling out of bounds. And then, well there's no other way to put this: It struck the Pac-12 Conference player of the year square in the family jewels.

But hey, no pain, no gain when you're trying to win the national title. Crabbe still led the Bears with 19 points and also grabbed nine rebounds in the win.
