Dayton center Matt Kavanaugh injured when SLU player lands on his head (Loop)

Dayton center Matt Kavanaugh suffered an injury Saturday in the first half of a loss to Saint Louis when a SLU player fell on his head and neck when the two became entangled under the basket.

Kavanaugh spent several minutes on the floor as team athletic trainers looked him over. He was able to walk off under his own power but he did not return to the game. He played just nine minutes and scored two points.
