Brandon University coach sinks effortless half-court shot for student’s tuition
Have a chance to hit a half-court shot to win your college tuition? What better strategy than asking a man who spends most of his time in gymnasiums to take the shot for you if the folks running the contest say it's OK?
That is what Brandon University student Mason Kaluzniak did Friday night at a game between Brandon and the Regina Cougars. In case you're wondering, Brandon University is located in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
You won't see a more effortless half-court shot.
Kaluzniak called on Brandon coach Gil Cheung to take the shot for him. Cheung is a former team captain at Brandon who led the program to National Championship finals before becoming a coach and a physical education instructor at the school.
Brandon beat Regina 68-54 giving Cheung further reason to celebrate after the fun he had following his clutch shot for Kaluzniak, who later thanked the coach on Twitter.
Big thanks to bobcat head coach @coach_cheung_bu who hit a half court shot to win me my tuition !!!!!!!
