Andrew Wiggins made only four of his 13 shots Tuesday at Baylor and fellow freshman Joel Embiid also struggled offensively, but the Jayhawks still beat the Bears 69-52 on their home court.
One of those four shots Wiggins made came at the buzzer ending the first half. Wiggins launched it from slightly beyond half court and seemed nonchalant walking off the court after it splashed through the net. He finished with 14 points.
It was a nice bounce-back victory for Kansas, which lost over the weekend at Texas and fell two spots in this week's Associated Press poll to No. 8. Tuesday was the second consecutive game Embiid has been held to single-digit scoring total with four points. He had scored in double digits in 10 of the previous 11.
But it's a demonstration of how Kansas continue to mature that it could overcome such a poor shooting night from both of its young stars and still coast to a victory on the road.
