Mad Dash: Patriots owner's special edition Nike shoes sell out in a minute
When you think about signature shoe releases, you think about star athletes' names attached to the latest model and a line around the block, right? Well, a pair of signature Nike shoes sold out in about a minute on Monday, and while the guy they were made for steps on the field plenty, he doesn't exactly take part in the action. He signs the checks of the guys who do. Patriots owner Robert Kraft got his own Air Force 1's, and they were in such demand in the Boston area and online that if you blinked while looking for them, you probably missed them. Kraft started wearing Nike's with suits when dress shoes proved a bit too uncomfortable. The shoemaker decided they'd be come such a staple of his wardrobe and look that it was time to honor him officially. No word on how Tom Brady and Under Armour will respond.
It's the dream of any aspiring hoops star: To go to a superstar's camp and score on the legend standing in front of you. Well, Kevin Durant's having none of it. A recent Vine continues the trend we've seen for a few years online of the Thunder star swatting away every shot that comes near him, declaring at his camp that there will be no easy buckets. And he is not kidding.
Another guy who isn't kidding: Jorge Gill. The wakeboarder hopped in dirty roadside canal to pull off the ridiculous stunt of being pulled behind a Ferrari f50. And a few seconds in, you quickly realize that those engine revs are serious. Jorge is hauling down that canal at borderline unsafe speeds, and while we can't recommend the daring feat, we completely acknowledge its awesomeness.
