DPS: Punishments set for Oregon

For their illegal recruiting practices, the University of Oregon football team has received "light" scholarship reduction, three-year probation and no bowl ban. The bulk of the punishment was heaved in the direction of former head coach Chip Kelly, who received an 18-month "show-cause" penalty that would prevent him from taking another NCAA coaching job over that span.

Dan Patrick says the sanctions don't compare to those levied against Pac-12 rival USC and that the punishments for Kelly are of no consequence since he won't be looking to coach in college any time soon.
