The retired former All-Star point man is living in Las Vegas now, as has been the case since 1996. Or, as GP confusingly notes, "14 years, if you want to call it that." Slightly bored with his current life, it appears as if Gary wants to get back into the NBA. He wants to be a coach. Can't blame the guy.
And I certainly can't blame him for this video, which is just full of all sorts of GP-level goodness.
It's after the jump.
In summation, Gary likes Las Vegas because there are no taxes, he and his bros enjoy a good game of Golden Tee every so often, and he likes to go bowling with the missus. Though he and his wife make sure "to try to do late night, so I won't get all the people on me in the bowling alley."
It's just a refreshing look into Payton's current, post-NBA life. Warmed by the fact that, yes, he still acts exactly like Gary Payton. In a sidebar, there are some interesting comments on LeBron James'(notes) future, following his free-agent turn. It appears that GP doesn't think all that highly of the Chicago Bulls.
