EDITOR'S NOTE: Inspiration.
I saw this on Monday morning, thanks to the amazing Russian hoops journalist Alexander Chernykh, and I didn't really know what to make of it. A full 32 hours later, I still can't quite get my mind around what led us to this and what it's trying to tell us, so, well, here's Denver Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov wearing a bunch of button-down shirts as varying pieces of clothing at the same time in a photo shoot for Esquire Russia:
I strongly, strongly advise you to check out the rest of the looks, which come as part of a shoot whose title (perhaps loosely) translates to "Wrap, I forgive," and whose animating idea was to have Mozgov "try shirt[s] designed for the common man." Y'know, the common man who wears approximately 1 million shirts at the same time without pants, like "Hoarders" meets "Risky Business" meets that one episode of "Friends."
I'm not sure if photographer Irina Bordeaux is possessed by genius or madness, but I do know that Mozgov here is possessed by an awful lot of shirts, and that I suddenly really want the Nuggets to return to the playoffs next season, and for Mozgov to have a major role in helping them get there, because I'm thinking we need a shirtnado pants podium game, like, yesterday.
