Noted paparazzo Joel Embiid captures teammate Nerlens Noel dancing with lady on street in Spain (Video)

It's been — excuse me: iiiiiit's been — a couple of months since we emphasized the importance of keeping an eye on the Twitter account of Philadelphia 76ers rookie big man Joel Embiid. While there hasn't been nearly as much open campaigning for celebrity girlfriends of late, there has been a fair amount of gamer trolling, meme appropriating and, of course, hot Shirley Temple takes.

The former Kansas center's most valuable recent missive, though, came via this brief video clip of Sixers teammate Nerlens Noel taking some time during a recent trip to Spain to cut a rug with a fellow traveler:

Check out the footwork on the young fella! A bit awkward and stilted, but that's somewhat expected given the size differential between partners. The real key takeaway here is that after a year of off-court work to rehabilitate his surgically repaired ACL, the former Kentucky shot-blocker can comfortably taking on more structured dances than "Gangnam Style." And, of course, that he's willing and able to lead — an important development for a young 76ers team!

There is, however, just one problem: Noel isn't the only Sixers center to go dancing in Spain in the recent past.

Season-wrecking knee injuries, dancing in Spain, noteworthy haircuts ... the Philly faithful had better hope that the similarities between Noel and Andrew Bynum stop there. Otherwise, the Sixers might start double tanking patiently and responsibly rebuilding.

Embiid captured Noel's fancy footwork during a trip that they took with 76ers coach Brett Brown, reigning Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams and Philadelphia general manager Sam Hinkie to watch the 2014 FIBA World Cup, where fellow Sixers draftee Dario Saric competed for Croatia. The traveling party apparently made for quite the eye-grabbing crew.

“You haven’t lived until you’ve walked through an airport in Spain with two seven-footers,” Hinkie told reporters during the Sixers' media day, according to John Finger of CSNPhilly.com.

This leads me to one simple request:

Joel, if you have video of Sam Hinkie dancing with some nice lady on the street in Spain, please post that next. It's so hard to get a read on the famously secretive 76ers boss; maybe if we can see the rhythm take him over, we'll have a better sense of the methods behind his madness.

Hat-tip to SB Nation's James Dator.
