We beat up on Kevin Harvick in this space a couple days ago, so let's give him a little love now. At Martinsville this weekend, Harvick will go for his fourth straight truck win. Not a bad little run, yes?
Harvick closed out 2009 with wins at the last two races on the slate, at Phoenix and Martinsville, and also won his only start this year in Atlanta. And he's got solid odds this week, as he won the spring race at Martinsville last year.
Harvick has in his stable Ron Hornaday Jr., who won five straight races last year and captured his fourth championship. He's had trouble this year, getting taken out early in Daytona and finishing 34th in Atlanta.
In related news, Narain Karthikeyan is scheduled to be the first driver from India to compete in a truck series race. He has a guaranteed starting slot thanks to owners' points for Wyler Racing/Starbeast Motorsports. (Starbeast!) He'll run in the No. 60 Chevrolet.
