David Reutimann wins Lifelock.com 400 to stay in Chase contention

David Reutimann entered the LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway with one career win, a rain-shortened victory at the Coca-Cola 600 in 2009.

There was no rain in sight Saturday night, and after passing Jeff Gordon before the final set of pit stops Reutimann beat Carl Edwards to the checkered flag to get his second win.

"It's just been a great weekend man, I tell you... I don't even know what to say," Reutimann told TNT. "It was probably the lamest burnout ever seen on this racetrack. I was tearing up pretty bad. Thank all my guys, everybody did a great job and no rain tonight. We earned this one. Nobody gave it to us and that feels pretty good."

The win pushed Reutimann up to 15th in the points standings, just 96 points behind 12th place Clint Bowyer, who moved into the Chase thanks to Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s 24th-place finish. Junior fell to 13th --15 points behind Bowyer. Mark Martin is now 14th -- 37 points out of the Chase after finishing 15th.
