Danica Patrick loses right-front tire, hits wall at Dover

In case you dicn't catch this week's episode of Danica-mania, either because you were watching the aftermath of Clint Bowyer's penalty or the beginning of what could be a great rivalry between Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick (and the rest of RCR), you didn't miss much.

Danica Patrick qualified 42nd for Saturday's Nationwide race at Dover and went a lap down just 17 laps into the 200-lap race. After going two laps down, Danica was telling crew chief Tony Eury Jr. that she felt that she had a vibration in the car coming from the right-front tire.

And shortly after going three laps down on Lap 68, Danica's diagnosis was verified as the tire let go in between Turns 3 and 4, sending Patrick into the wall.

Patrick returned to the race with 37 laps to go, but the move was purely an owner's points decision, as she finished 94 laps down in 35th place.

Dover was Patrick's seventh Nationwide Series start of the season. Her best finish is a 24th-place finish at Chicago.
