Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins Most Popular Driver for the 11th consecutive time

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is NASCAR's Most Popular Driver. This isn't surprising. But of those 11 times, it might have been the most (relatively) surprising of the bunch.

If Junior's streak was going to end, this was going to be the year. That was because of the inclusion of Danica Patrick on the ballot. With the uber-popular Patrick on the docket, was the uber-uber-uber-popular Junior going to lose his crown?

No. Patrick actually finished fifth. Junior's two Hendrick teammates, Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon, were second and third. Tony Stewart was fourth. The rest of the top 10 went Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards.

According to the NMPA, over 1 million votes were cast and 700,000 were cast for Junior. That's what you call a landslide.

Gordon and Kahne flip-flopped positions from last year while Stewart held his spot. Patrick bumped Johnson from fifth.
