No, they didn't finish in the top 20, and no, they didn't finish on the lead lap, but for the most part, Angela and Amber Cope -- the nieces of 1990 Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope -- stayed out of trouble during Saturday's Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville.
Amber finished 26th, three laps off the pace and Angela finished 30th, six laps down. During the early portion of the race, Angela spun at the beginning of a green flag run but didn't do any damage and the race stayed green. Later in the run, Angela spun again, this time bringing out the caution flag, but again, the incident was minor. (The twins had nothing on Cody Cambensy, who brought out three caution flags himself.)
The twins were two of four female drivers in Saturday's race. Johanna Long, who was making her fifth start of the season, was the last driver on the lead lap and finished 22nd. Actress-driver Jennifer Jo Cobb, who has run the full season, finished 33rd.
