The week that was in MMA: Hendo wants to grill Anderson Silva

This has been one of the craziest non-fight weeks in MMA history, only possibly topped by last week. On Monday, we were hopeful that the UFC would sign Fedor. After a week of wrong reports, conjecture and a bizarre conference call, it seems unlikely that we will ever see Fedor fight in the UFC.

My thoughts on this can be summed up best by Torrance Shipman, the protagonist of "Bring It On," a fine film about cheerleading. "I define being the best as competing against the best there is out there and beating them."

There was actual news put out by the UFC, though. Vitor Belfort has signed with the UFC and will face Rich Franklin at UFC 103. Dan Henderson is next in line for a title shot at middleweight, after Anderson Silva's fight with Forrest Griffin. (UFC)
