According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, before posting bail and being released.

According to the statement, the former UFC light heavyweight champion and current Bellator fighter Ortiz was arrested by police around 4:30 a.m. after a single-car collision on the 405 Freeway. The 38 year old "Huntington Beach Bad Boy" was in a 2012 Porsche Panamera with two passengers in the car, according to the California Highway Patrol's statement.

“Ortiz was driving northbound on the I-405 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the concrete center median,” the press release said.

Though the vehicle was damaged, no one was injured, the Highway Patrol also said.

According to a report from KTLA, the Los Angeles County Sherriff's office said that Ortiz posted $15,000 bail about four hours later and was released at 8:13 a.m.

“He was transported to LAPD-77th Division for medical clearance and chemical testing and was booked without incident,” the press statement said.

The Sheriff’s Department reportedly told KTLA that Ortiz was scheduled to appear in court on January 27.

In 2011, Ortiz, then driving a Rolls Royce Phantom, was involved in a three-car collision just months after crashing another car while preparing for a celebrity track race.
